Townmore: Project Update on €16 million Carr’s Lane Residential Development
The Townmore team are currently working on the delivery of vital new social housing at Carr’s Lane, just off the Malahide Road Junction in Balgriffin. This North Dublin scheme, when complete, will consist of 59 new homes together with car and bike parking, a substation and communal green space. The apartments will be a mix of one-bed, two-bed and three-bed homes across two blocks, each four-storeys.
In recent months, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, accompanied by Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Darragh O’Brien TD, visited the site and noted it’s significance for housing delivery locally – you can read more about this VIP site visit here: http://test.townmore.ie/news/townmore-an-taoiseach-and-the-housing-minister-visit-site-of-future-social-housing/
Our Carr’s Lane project delivery team is progressing extremely well on site. As you will see from the photo gallery below, the superstructure is now complete and the roof watertight, as works progress upwards.
Ground floor: At this stage, all ground floor windows and first fix M&E are completed, with walls and ceilings closed out. Carpentry works are also well underway.
First and second levels: Works are progressing on the first and second levels with windows and M&E currently underway.
Externally: Outside, the cedar cladding on Block A commenced earlier this month.
With less than 10 days to go before the Christmas break – and despite ongoing pandemic restrictions – this €16 million project is progressing well within the build programme.
This critical social housing is being delivered by Respond Housing and Fingal County Council – with funding support from the Department of Housing – through Irish developers Bluemont.
