Townmore: An Taoiseach and the Housing Minister visit site of future social housing

*Project overview: http://test.townmore.ie/projects/carrs-lane/

Earlier this week, the Townmore site team at Carrs Lane hosted a number of VIP guests.

An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, accompanied by Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Darragh O’Brien TD, Mayor of Fingal County Council David Healy and Chief Executive of Fingal County Council Ann Marie Farrelly, joined representatives from Respond Housing for a site tour of Carrs Lane, Malahide Road, Dublin 17.

This North Dublin scheme, when complete, will consist of 59 new homes together with car and bike parking, a substation and communal green space. The apartments will be a mix of one-bed, two-bed and three-bed homes across two blocks, each four-storeys.

Speaking at the site, which is situated within his own constituency, the Housing Minister pointed out that:

“It is a significant investment by the State in public housing. We obviously want to see more of this and that’s my job, to make sure that happens. The Taoiseach has been very impressed here this morning to see the level of work and by Q2/Q3 next year we’re going to have 59 families living here…”

This €16.0 million project is on track for completion within the next nine months.
