Townmore Construction Partners with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

The positive mental health of our team – both on and off site – has long been a priority for us here at Townmore HQ so we are delighted to announce a significant step in enhancing mental health and wellbeing across the workplace this week, partnering with the Lighthouse Construction Industry charity.

Focusing on the health and safety of team members, and the wider industry community, has been one of Townmore’s main commitments for many years (as seen in 2021 with Townmore support of Accessible Counselling Tullamore- https://townmore.ie/news/5-million-steps-for-accessible-counselling-tullamore-act/) others include: Sustainability, CSR, Community Engagement, and Environmental Stewardship.

Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity dedicates itself to the wellbeing of the construction community (including spouses and family) in the UK and Ireland. Offering a range of free resources, including a 24/7 Construction Industry helpline, live chat service, and text HARDHAT facility, (HardHat toolbox talks is one the initiatives Townmore prioritises each year to ensure our team members know that there are places to go and people to talk to if anyone is struggling- https://townmore.ie/news/toolbox-talks-help-inside-the-hard-hat/) the charity provides essential emotional and physical support. The Wellbeing Academy further enhances this support with extensive training programs across various platforms.

Partnering to support positive mental health

By partnering with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, Townmore strengthens its commitment to mental health and safety. This initiative extends past Townmore’s own team to all individuals on their sites, including all supply chain members. We aspire to create a supportive environment for all involved in the UK and Irish construction industry. 

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity are setting a new standard on wellbeing within construction, prioritising holistic wellbeing of all involved in the built environment and it is an initiative Townmore will continue to support in order to create a healthier, safer and more supportive industry.
