Townmore – Project Update: Southern Cross Bray
Last month – prior to the industry shutdown – our Townmore team broke ground on a significant new apartment building development at Southern Cross in Bray, County Wicklow for Lioncor Developments. The mixed-use residential development, when complete, will comprise 160 apartments across four separate five-storey blocks.
The construction methodology will include RC ground floor slabs and transfer slabs, precast walls and upper floor slabs, together with modular bathroom pods. The apartment complex is part of a larger social development containing houses, a creche, community centre and a large supermarket.
Earlier this month, Townmore’s open approach to working with local suppliers and subcontractors in the construction of Bray’s new multi-million euro neighbourhood centre was featured by the media, you can link to the full article here: https://www.independent.ie/developers-to-hire-local-people-on-new-project-39910831.html
As referred to in the Independent.ie article above, the supply chain and construction workers being sought include crane drivers, general operatives, groundworks, masons, concrete subcontractors, roofers, scaffolding companies, plasterers, partitioning contractors and suppliers for all key materials for this project. This list is just a small part of the overall requirements and we would welcome any suppliers or subcontractors who might be interested in working with Townmore on the development at Southern Cross, and indeed on other projects nationwide.
Suitably qualified providers are encouraged to contact the site team by email at southerncross@localhost to arrange site meetings.
This development is due for handover in Autumn 2022.
